This Privacy Notice describes how PathLingua.com ("PathLingua", "we", "us") collects and processes personal data when you use our website, applications, and services (the "Service"). PathLingua.com acts as the data controller of personal data described here.

- Account data: name, email address, hashed password, language preference.
- Learning data: enrolled tracks, lesson progress, placement-test results, certificates, AI practice interactions.
- Support data: messages you send to us and their metadata.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, log data, and cookies necessary to run the Service.
Payment card details are collected by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, and are not stored on PathLingua systems.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Creating and managing your account — performance of a contract.
- Providing lessons, AI practice, and certificates — performance of a contract.
- Securing the Service and preventing fraud — legitimate interests.
- Improving and analysing the Service — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
- Marketing emails, where applicable — consent (you may withdraw at any time).
- Tax, accounting, and other legal obligations — legal obligation.
4. Who we share data with
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, refunds, and invoicing.
- Infrastructure and service providers (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, AI model providers) acting as our processors.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law.
5. International transfers
Some recipients may be located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
